IPAS 2021

Ions and Photons in Analytical Science (IPAS2021) will take place at ETH Zurich on Friday, April 22, 2021. The last time IPAS took place was in 2009, so it will be an exciting event to attend after 12 years to catch up on how the analytical science has progressed. It is a one-day symposium taking place at ETH Zürich, Hönggerberg campus, and hosted by the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences. This department has a rich and long tradition of analytical chemistry research that relies on optical and charge detection. Thus, we are all hoping to have such a meeting not to take place virtually, via zoom or skype, but be a real, in-person meeting.

This event includes 10 international experts/speakers with ties to ETH Zurich: Konstantin Barylyuk (Cambridge University), Petra Dittrich (ETHZ), Detlef Günther (ETHZ), Olivier Haefliger (Firmenich, Geneva), Markus Kalberer (Univ. Basel/Switzerland), Jian-Feng Li (Xiamen Univ., Xiamen/China), Martin Pabst (TU Delft), Vera Samburova (Univ. Nevada/Reno, USA), Jon Sweedler (Univ. Illinois), Pawel Urban (National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan), Boon-Siang (Jason) Yeo (Singapore National Univ.). The program may be complemented with some poster presentations and/or company exhibits.
