Seven different epitope mapping techniques were evaluated directly in a recent study conducted by Merck and Adura Therapeutics. Among these techniques, XL-MS and HDX-MS techniques were tested and results published: “Epitope mapping of monoclonal antibodies: a comprehensive comparison of different technologies” ,Abs. Volume 15, 2023 – Issue 1.

- Crosslinking Mass Spectrometry (XL-MS)
- Hydrogen-Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry (HDX-MS)
- Hydroxyl Radical Footprinting (HRF)
- Alanine Scan
- Domain Exchange
- Peptide Array
